Class on Homosexual Marriage

  1. Listening to single (and supposedly celibate - though young boys' behinds may disagree) men in dresses talk about marriage? Priceless!

  2. Wow, anonymous. I'm pretty impressed by your immediate resort to personal attacks. Not only is it ridiculous to assert that Fr. Hollowell has ever been part of the abuse scandal, but it's awfully petty to make fun of the cassock he chooses to wear. He's also incredibly knowledgeable. A doctor doesn't have to have a disease to know all about it...

  3. Christianity, corrupting children's minds for 2k years. a book that gives a list of petty crimes punishable by stoning has no place in modern society dictating family law. the church doesn't just not like gays, and they actively petition governments around the world to persecute, punish, and strip or prevent equal rights for gays. bravo catholic church, way to really drive home the irony.

  4. The Bible is not a list of petty crimes punishable by stoning. There is far more love, advocacy for feeding and clothing the poor, taking care of the sick and widowed, and the prevention of a stoning by Jesus himself, which is actually a very powerful statement against judgement of others when you yourself are a sinner.

However, the Church has never petitioned any government to punish or persecute homosexuals. There is no "right to marriage" in the Constitution to prevent homosexuals from having.

You, sir, are not only proving yourself to be ignorant as to the true nature of Christianity, but also to be as much a bigot as you fear the Church itself is.

  5. The only ignorance is your, the vatican has petitioned every country that has permitted same sex marriage to reverse course. Maybe in your bible group they don't discuss the politics, the bible says one thing, the church is doing another. The vatican not only donates money to political agendas against gay rights, they also have petitioned the un. if you bothered to care, google what the vatican was doing to spain to try to stop gays from equal marriage.

i am not a sinner, thats your religion buddy. you don't own morality. sinning is not a legal term, further, the church, and you, don't own jesus, they just claim them.

  6. Why would a gay guy make fun of a cassock? I mean, really, just look at what you wear when you go out in public. No one wants to see you in the assless leather chaps and flamboyant promiscuous shirts or rainbow short shorts. What a laughable and stupid immature unintelligent comment to make about a priest's garment!

  7. all gay men wear assless chaps out in public, just like all straight women are topless all the time like during mardi gras, and all straight men dress like jersey shore. a priest in a dress who has vowed to never marry or have sex and uses an antique book to criticize families and promote blocking same sex couples from legal recognition and calling civil rights an abomination, i guess it takes someone crazy to see how its not.

the united states has a better track record than the church. do you need to be reminded why the reformation took place? keep your religion off my constitution.

  8. How about instead you keep your flamboyant ass-grabbing immoral promiscuity off my children's eyes! You are all hate mongers of religion and society is emphatically against your hedonistic ways. Get over it and find a new cause such as the prevention of spreading HIV in the gay community by keeping in your panties Sally.

  9. The person above me whines a lot.

    All I hear is BAWWWWWWWW

but I guess people dislike hearing the truth.

That said, srsly gaiz, lrn2empathy. Your self-centered, embarassing ignorance is showing. again. Won't be checking back here, so baw more all you like.

  10. i've never met a christian who acts like a christian. typical right wing borderline-neo nazi anti-american anti-human trust-fund children of god.

  11. wow it's full of bigots in here

  12. Yes... because everyone who believes in marriage as between a man and woman only is a right wing borderline neo nazi anti everything! Who is generalizing now? Funny how you gayasses come on here and rip on a priest with condescending derogatory comments about his attire, but when someone makes fun of your flamboyant promiscuous outerware and disgraceful actions, you can't handle it. Then everyone who says that MUST be a hater of everything. Hilarious, I must say. You can dish out your comments like a tough little thing, but when you get ripped on you act like a 12 year old little b****!

  14. If everyone else is a bigot, what do you call the people who slandered the priest? All's fair in love and war.

  15. I do need some advice from you regarding some other elements of God's Laws and how to follow them.

    1. Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?

    2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

    3. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of Menstrual uncleanliness - Lev.15: 19-24. The problem is how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.

    4. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord - Lev.1:9. The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?

    5. I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself, or should I ask the police to do it?

    6. A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination, Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this? Are there 'degrees' of abomination?

    7. Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle-room here?

    8. Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27. How should they die?

    9. I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?

    10. My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev.19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? Lev.24:10-16. Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair, like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

I know you have studied these things extensively and thus enjoy considerable expertise in such matters, so I'm confident you can help.

Thank you again for reminding us that G-d's word is eternal and unchanging.

  16. WOW! The hatred is rampant, but going viral can sometimes be a good thing. Even though this is old, I will still post because it has become so viral among homosexual websites.

Hi, my name is Chris and I am a Catholic. I am not a "right wing borderline-neo nazi anti-american anti-human trust-fund child of God." Since that seems to be that anonymous poster's impression of who I am without knowing me, I'll give you a quick highlight reel:

I don't listen to Gregorian chants in the car. It's a safe bet that at any given moment, I'm flying down the road with The Ramones, The Dropkick Murphys or The Clash blaring out of my speakers.

I have a lot of friends, both old and new. Some of these friends are homosexual and I do love them dearly. Just because I believe that marriage is between a man and a woman doesn't mean that I don't love that man or that woman. We RESPECT each other even if we don't agree with the other's lifestyle or religion.

I am actually quite liberal when it comes to politics. My husband, who is not a Catholic, is very conservative. While I am pro-life, I am also pro-Medicaid.

I am a well educated, professional woman with a career. I am a strong cookie and have opinions of my own that I formed from my own experiences, not because I am a "sheep."

I don't clothe myself with "assless chaps," nor do I wear skirts down to my ankles. I adore fashion-Not every Christian woman chooses to wear plain clothing, but if that's their selection, then I respect that. I don't, however, respect nudity or public flashing. You are only humiliating yourself.

I am a huge Cubs fan and a rabid Colts fan. Yes, Catholic women do participate in social activities outside of the Church. We're not at home, baking apple pies for our "men."

I see so much hypocrisy here-The haters are probably the ones who preach to others to be open to everyone's ways of life, yet you are not open to mine? To state that every Christian is a right-wing nut job is as offensive as stating that every immigrant is illegal. Get out and meet us, you would be pleasantly surprised.
