    1. No. Most film companies don't release on YouTube because they are such a conglomerate that they constantly are flagging professional videos for copyright violations for music and other things when in actuality there is no violation and the companies have their documentation in order. What happens is you'll release a trailer like this on YouTube, they'll flag it, it will be down for days, you'll send in the paperwork, they'll put it back up, then they'll flag it again. Vimeo is much more user friendly.

  2. Father Hollowell is a Gay Club or an "Acceptance" Club ok in a Catholic High School? If not what can I a student do to stop it?

    1. Well, I'd say the title of the club makes a pretty big deal. If it were "gay club" that probably wouldn't fly, but an "acceptance club" would all depend on who was running it, what the mission is, what the activities are, etc. The Church is all about stamping out discrimination and hatred and confusion, but if the "acceptance club" is a group of people who go around hanging up signs pushing for the legalization of "gay marriage", then that's a different mission all together, and again, should not be allowed to be established or operate in a Catholic school

    2. Discerning whether this group is on the up and up is actually rather easy. Get their mission statement/purpose what have you and compare it to the Catechism sections 2357, 2358, and 2359. If the statement does not explicitly affirm the content of ALL THREE of these sections, then it's a bogus ministry/club and has no business on a Catholic campus. Let me underscore that--it must be explicit because false prophets thrive on vagueness and ambiguity.

What to do if it's not? Find peers and adult Catholics of sound faithfulness to help you. Meet those in charge of the group and politely but persistently ask that they correct the problem. If they give flak or the run-around, then contact the administration of the school and the bishop and again, politely but persistently, lay out the case and ask for intervention.

God bless you in your endeavors.

    1. For your own edification, I'd recommend Benedict's encyclical Spe Salvi which is critical of both socialism and capitalism. As far as the baloney about Our Lord being a socialist, see Benedict XVI's comment from Jesus of Nazareth on Regnocentrism.

As far as Francis changing teachings, he has proposed no such changes and gives no evidence of doing so. Here is a link where he affirms male-only priesthood: http://www.ncregister.com/daily-news/popes-remarks-on-women-in-the-church-call-for-deeper-theology-says-expert/

Here's a link where the excommunication of a priest in favor of women's ordination and homosexual "marriage": http://www.theage.com.au/victoria/church-dumps-rebel-priest-20130920-2u5jp.html . Now some might say that this excommunication proceeding happened before Francis became pope, but if he really was out to change teachings, he would have put the brakes on this high profile case.

A link to a letter in which he condemns SS"M" in the most withering language: http://globovision.com/articulo/nuevo-papa-francisco-i-se-pronuncio-en-2010-contra-el-matrimonio-gay "Let’s not be naïve, we’re not talking about a simple political battle; it is a destructive pretension against the plan of God. We are not talking about a mere bill, but rather a machination of the Father of Lies that seeks to confuse and deceive the children of God’…"

Here is is homily at Assisi, a place notorious for spouting "COEXIST!" babble (my emphasis): http://en.radiovaticana.va/news/2013/10/04/papal_mass_draws_thousands_in_assisi/en1-734297 “Franciscan peace is not something saccharine,” Hardly! That is not the real St. Francis! Nor is it a kind of pantheistic harmony with forces of the cosmos… That is not Franciscan either,” Pantheism is dissenter's bread n' butter and this is by Francis is a direct blast against it.

I said I was offering this for your personal edification. That's because as far as what to do about the teacher unfortunately, what you have described here is really not enough grounds for lodging a formal complaint. As I mentioned earlier, dissenters thrive on vagueness, so my only advice is to arm yourself with knowledge.

  4. At the end of this video, it says "coming soon". How soon is it? Has a date been set yet?

  5. Spreading poison and vicious lies - Pope Francis wouldn't approve of this piece of hate.

  6. Quick! Somebody give this poor guy a kleenex to wipe away them tears! How exactly is this video going to help gay people? From this first 3 minute "teaser", all I see is some guy who is feeling sorry for himself.....and he aint even gay! AND he has NO CLUE what it's like to be a gay person in this world! Enlighten us Fr. Hollowell.....how is this film supposed to make gay people feel so much better?!?!?

    1. The goal of this film is not to help people feel better, it's to tell people the truth, which is key to escaping the bondage of sin. The point of the "teaser" (this is a regular film-industry term, so no need for the scare quotes) is that living according to the truth often has a high and painful cost.

    1. Briefly, that all of us are called by God to live in chastity. Which for true marriage (i.e. a man and a women married to each other) means conjugal chastity. For everyone not in a true marriage, it means continence in chastity; meaning no fornication, masturbation, and any other sexual acts.
