I am currently trying to find a "sourcebook", if you will, for Homilies. I am not a priest. But after I repeatedly complained to my Novus Ordo pastor that his homilies lack theological content, he surprisingly said he is open to any literature that might be helpful him. I would like to give him some kind of source material for homilies. Do you know of a Patristic Anthology that is specifically designed for this situation? Something moderately accessible to a Modern reader, like "The Word Among Us Daily Mass Reflections", except firmly rooted in the Fathers of the Church and not Oprah Winfrey garbage.
