Most Controversial Homily?
"Because
Catholics believe that the celebration of the Eucharist is a sign of the
reality of the oneness of faith, life, and worship, members of those churches
with whom we are not yet fully united are ordinarily not admitted to Communion.
Eucharistic sharing in exceptional circumstances by other Christians requires
permission according to the directives of the diocesan bishop and the
provisions of canon law. . . . "

Fr. Hollowell,
ReplyDeleteI am a junior in a Catholic High School one you are familiar with. The schools spiritual state I believe is very concerning. I say that because they (the administration) refuse tackle in a effective way issues like same sex marriage, arbortion, contraception, and all the other vital issues our faith teaches. I asked if we could play your video " I Have a Say" and was told no. I have been told in my religion class that Jesus was a Socilaist and that Pope francis has been doing and sayin new things. I asked our principle if we could have all school more frequent even supplying the information that all the other Catholic High School go much more than we do.. We go once a month and believe we should be going more since it is the summit of our faith.. I have also asked for more reconciliation opportunities because we only get two and also more rosaries since we do one in an entire year. I have been brushed of many times and I'm not ready to accept defeat. The number of students who support same sex marriage, abortion, and other big issues are staggering because they are not hearing the TRUTH. My assistant principle expressed his distain and dislike for Lumen Christie School and his love of common core. What can I do, I am not rolling to roll over and die. Thanks so much.
God Bless
I forgot to also mention that in mass we sing some Protestant songs and we don't have any school adorations and the administration won't even listen to me. Our dances are somewhat immodest in dress. What to do?
